Disability Bowls England

Disability Bowls England

Disability Bowls England (DBE) is an organisation that aims to develop opportunities and improve performance for anyone with a physical, sensory or learning disability. The organisation currently offers a FREE membership scheme and as members individuals can access a series of events and activities.

For those wishing to take up the sport of bowls there are a number of training/taster days run across the country to which any player with any impairment/s can attend. DBE also organise friendly matches which can be played indoor or outdoor and are sometimes focused on a specific impairment. There are competitions some of which are OPEN to all and others that have restricted entry.

Details can be found on the DBE website www.disabilitybowlsengland.org.uk

Inter-Region Challenges: all DBE members can be nominated to represent their region. As this is a top performance event the regional teams are selected using performance related criteria.

Elite Trials: trials and performance records will be used to select players/directors for elite events.

Players with the classification B1, B2, B3, B4, B5, B6, B7, B8 and directors of visually impaired players may be nominated for a trial. For more information on classifications please contact Disability Bowls England directly on 07810 868015.
